WTWH Media is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Senior Editor for its Engineering (ENG) tower. This person will play an instrumental role in the future success of The Robot Report, the leading B2B media outlet covering the global robotics industry, and Automated Warehouse, a new website covering best practices for evaluating, deploying, and managing supply chain technologies.
As part of WTWH’s robotics group, you can help shape and execute our coverage, from breaking news to in-depth original stories. You would create high-quality content, cultivate relationships with stakeholders, hunt down important developments, and collaborate with colleagues across WTWH. On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Editor will edit, format, and publish various forms of digital content, including articles, newsletters, webinars, podcast episodes, and downloads. Candidates must be comfortable interviewing subject-matter experts on camera, participating in annual in-person events across the U.S., and sharing and promoting information on social media.
As our group’s portfolio grows, the Senior Editor may also assist with the production of custom content, including sponsored articles, white papers and thought-leadership series. While this role will work remotely, we have preference for candidates from the Pittsburgh or San Francisco area.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in communications, engineering, or journalism preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working in B2B media.
- Experience in the robotics and/or logistics industry is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, solve problems, and consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to understand and clearly communicate information on technical topics.
- Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience with multimedia editing and content management systems is a plus.
- Great communications skills, including on-camera or public speaking.
- Understanding of search engine optimization and how to create content that drives site traffic.
- Comfortable using social media for audience engagement.
- Deadline-oriented time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel and cover industry events or customer meetings.
