Description
- Performs routine, standardized biological/biochemical test procedures and analyzes results of test, to assist the physician in the diagnosis/clinical management of patients
- Collaborates with Physicians/Lab Director on patient data
- Provides age-specific treatment/care, based on the principles of growth/development
- Other roles and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Successful completion of medical laboratory technology program and/or equivalent education, training, and/or experience, unless waived by CLIA.
- Registered or registry eligible.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated computer skills.
- Technical knowledge and skills are necessary to perform procedures efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills necessary to deal with people from varying backgrounds, in a professional, courteous manner.
- Mathematical skills are required to perform various calculations.
- Clerical perception is necessary to detect errors, prepare records accurately, and to organize and maintain daily workflow.
- Verbal ability required for understanding written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is of light demand.
- Routine lifting requirements of less than 50 pounds.
- Standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching required.
- Exposure to hazardous infectious biological specimens and caustic reagents.
- Works inside.
- Motor coordination and finger dexterity are necessary to operate equipment.

$25 - $38 - Depending on Experience
