General Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling the agency incoming calls and mail distribution. Service existing accounts including but not limited to payments, changes, and claims.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Answer Agency Incoming Calls and distribute to appropriate staff member.
- Handle agency mail distribution.
- Complete weekly spreadsheet assigned.
- Marketing letters to clients.
- Handle Customer calls including payments, changes to policy, claims submissions etc.
- Assist Commercial department with renewals, billing, and changes.
- Handles Cancellation Calls.
- Handle 90-day letters to commercial customers.
- Log all activities of customer transactions in management system.
- Maintain records, reports, and files as applicable.
Other Job Functions
- Attend all required meetings/trainings.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Education, Training and Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in an Insurance office along with being licensed in Property & Casualty required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Maintain & foster positive relationships with customers and business partners.
- Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
- Provide professional communication in both oral & written expression.
- Excellent organizational, time management & analytical skills.
- Able to communicate and negotiate effectively.

Working Environment
Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at managements sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk).
- Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard).

The salary range for this role ($18.00 to $22.00 per hour) takes into consideration a wide range of factors including but not limited to the duties of the role, experience, location, and certificates and/or education.
