• Performing basic accounting procedures, e.g. A/R, A/P, time billing, P/R, G/L, tax payments and inventory control
• Performing all basic accounting procedures, month-end closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, fixed assets preparing supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
• Month-end and quarterly closing (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements)
• Monitoring and reviewing all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transitions
• Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts and investment transactions in conjunction with preparing quarterly reports for management
• Producing financial data for the management team upon request and assisting with other special accounting projects from time to time
• Ensures accurate portfolio administration by maintaining accurate records and ensuring all financial transactions (payments, etc.) are recorded on a daily basis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or similar work environment
• Prior experience in mortgage banking industry is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong computer aptitude, advanced expertise with MS Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, Power Query/PBI knowledge is a plus
• Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
• Experience with LoanVision ERP system strongly preferred
