With minimum supervision, is responsible for assisting in all aspects for all payroll processes. Provide payroll information to employees, business partners and reporting agencies.
Essential Functions
Engage in routine payroll activities to ensure company payrolls are processed and distributed according to state and federal regulations, established policies, and within specified timelines
Pre-audit input data for accuracy and adherence to company policies
Audit post payroll related reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll processing
Research, resolve and identify corrections for all payroll inaccuracies
Respond to payroll inquiries and provides quality customer service
Create and distribute standard and ad hoc payroll reports within designated time frames
Coordinate the termination process to ensure employee records are terminated correctly in the Paylocity system
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
2-4 years payroll processing experience, including multi-state payrolls
Ability to articulate the basic fundamentals of payroll processing
Prior Paylocity Payroll Service, or similar payroll service provider experience
Efficient user of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and Word
Experience working in a shared services environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong multi-tasking skills
Strong critical thinking, problem identification and solving skills
Ability to operate a 10-key calculator
Clean credit history as reported by credit report
