We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician. This position requires a high level of mechanical knowledge, including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below. Candidates must be a self-starter and willing to accept “operational responsibility” for building and grounds. Position may require working various shifts throughout the year.
Diagnose and repair of all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting a plus.
Diagnose and repair all mechanical power transmission equipment.
Knowledge of Gear boxes, mechanical drives, and variable speed applications.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of Cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration and lubrication devices.
Diagnose, repair and overhaul process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting, and related systems.
Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications.
Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
Must be able to work in a team oriented and “Safety First” environment. Safely, efficiently and effectively work to attain department and brewery goals and objectives.
Must observe and practice all Department/Brewery Procedures. Including, wearing proper PPE, respirators and/or all safety and sanitation equipment as required.
Licensed Electrician ideal, minimum electrician apprenticeship required.
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field.
Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment required.
Mechanical aptitude a must.
Knowledge and proficiency of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS) a plus, must be able to input data for Maintenance Work Orders into Software.
Skilled in application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools, verniers, calipers, and depth gauges etc.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all team members, vendors and customers.
Good math, oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent mechanical troubleshooting ability. Experience with participative leadership and time management.
Statistical process control and problem solving skills required.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and team building skills.
Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
Self-starter, proactive. Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a “get-it-done, can-do” attitude.
Use of general tools, specialty tools will be provided if needed.
Skilled in welding, sanitary welding, pipe fitting, soldering and rigging is desired.
Physical Demands - able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis. Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions in a Production Environment.. Be able to stand, twist, and bend as required for 90% of work schedule
