It's an exciting time to be in the marine business and Elliott Bay Design Group (EBDG) is seeking a qualified Marine Electrical Engineer to join its team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, and/or Mechanical Engineering. Position requirements include:
Preferred candidates will have at least two years of experience/internship with a marine professional engineering firm and/or experience in a shipyard environment. Preferred candidates will also have experience working with one-lines, electrical load analyses and wiring diagrams for marine vessels and/or industrial applications. You will be working closely with a team of experienced naval architects, marine engineers, and marine designers.
- BS Degree from an ABET – accredited school
- EIT certificate or able to obtain in the first year of hire
- AutoCAD and MS Office Skills
- Rhino preferred, but not required
- Ability to perform onsite ship inspections
- Two or more years of experience within the marine industry
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will primarily be in flexible remote work environment Monday through Friday with occasional travel for client and project meetings, inspections, and testing. EBDG has offices in Seattle, WA and Covington, LA, should you desire to be in an office environment. The successful candidate will have excellent writing and oral communication skills and will be able to work both independently and with a team.
