Position: Offsite Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Property Supervisor
Position Type: Hourly/ Full Time
Locations: Village at Tehachapi (200 N Mill St, Tehachapi, CA 93561)
Salary: $20-$25 hourly
Essential Functions:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance services, including but not limited to:
- Plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning repairs
- Carpentry, appliance repairs, and glass replacement
- Completing daily work orders as assigned by the supervisor
- Maintaining professionalism and adhering to company policies
- Performing apartment make-ready work
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems
- Participating in preventive maintenance programs
- Following all safety regulations and standards
- Assisting with other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED with two years of related experience
- Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in grounds keeping
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools
- Deal effectively with co-workers and the public
- Walk, stand and kneel for prolonged periods, climb a ladder
Travel Requirements: This position requires reliable transportation and 100% onsite work. Travel requirements may change at any time.
Physical Demands/Work Environment: This job requires the ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds; exposed to mechanical/electrical/chemical hazards; work outdoors in a wide disparity of environmental conditions; manipulate hand tools while exerting moderate physical strength or while in cramped/strained positions; exposed to dust/fumes; wear protective clothing; work irregular hours.
