Channel Director

Description

Purpose of the Position: The Channel Director (CD) is responsible for tactically driving opportunities through the sales cycle for a named group of AVANT Trusted Advisors, while continuing to recruit in the region.  These activities are performed primarily via telephone, in-market meetings, events and email. The CD will actively participate in coordinated sales calls with the Trusted Advisors and Suppliers. The CD will be expected to meet or exceed target metrics.  Oversee the performance of assigned market through the performance of the trusted advisors and any AVANT support staff that generate revenue for the market, while working directly with the inside channel manager and pricing analyst. 

This is a full-time position.  


Essential Functions: 

  • First point of contact for escalations
  • Secondary contact for quotes and contracts
  • Recruit trusted advisors in the market
  • Re-board select partners which includes creating a revised annual sales roadmap, training on Pathfinder and increased adoption, introduction and working closely with vendors, and consistent QBR’s
  • Conduct regular QBR’s with named trusted advisors to ensure revenue growth 
  • Drive attendance at regular sales and technical trainings 
  • Drive partner participation and sales through marketing campaigns and other programs 
  • Manage all tasks, opportunities and funnel in Salesforce 
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on all products, programs and promotions 
  • Enable Partners to Think AVANT First! 
  • Other in market management tasks as AVANT continues to grow

Data & Analytical Functions: 

  • Own the strategy for creation and efficient distribution of sales metrics, reports, and other sales related business intelligence essential to the organization. Working closely with Sales Operations
  • Analyze complex information and data, translating these findings into actionable deliverables, strategies, targets, messages, and presentations for trusted advisors
  • Continuously optimize – working with IT to enable technologies, including Salesforce and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology platforms to increase the productivity and effectiveness of the sales team

Requirements
  • A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or advanced degree in related field of study preferred
  • 10-15 years’ experience in the IT or Telecom Channel
  • Direct sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent ability to influence decision making at all levels of organization
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals Month over Month
  • Proven Management experience
