Under the direction of the Regional Business Development Director, you will be responsible for expanding Systemair’s reach and revenues within a specific geographical area. This business development position involves a mix of sales, marketing, and strategic planning to cultivate and grow relationships with customers and partners within a specific target market. You will identify potential customer segments, establish relationships with clients, and achieve sales targets to ensure Systemair meets the region’s demands and expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve BD targets in the assigned target market.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings.
- Identify potential customers and develop relationships through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
- Conduct presentations and meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and present solutions that meet those needs.
- Report on monthly, quarterly, and annual sales growth results.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to management, outlining achieved goals and the necessary actions for maintaining and growing the customer base.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional activities and materials specific to the territory.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and customer satisfaction.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to generate new business leads and enhance the company’s presence in the market.
- Utilize our existing industry partners to schedule, set up meetings with builders to present our total home solution.
- Responsible for all Homesphere or any builder program partners activities in their set territory.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, demands, and competitive landscapes, adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
- Provide customer feedback to the product development teams.
- Suggest product enhancements or new products based on market demands and customer feedback.
Skills, Education, and/or Experience
The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the Business Development Representative Profile or candidates for the position:
- Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a sales representative or business development role, HVAC industry preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of autonomy and self-motivation.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs.
- Strong understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft 365.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Job Conditions
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and looking at a computer.
- Light physical effort – able to lift up to 20lbs at times.
- Sitting, lifting, squatting, pushing, or reaching for intermittent or extended periods.
- Must be able to travel a minimum or 50% to meet to meet regional needs.
Work Environment:
- Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office.
- May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
- May use chemicals or other in accordance with MSDS.
- May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face.
