Description

 

As a Senior Substation Engineer at CDG Engineers, you will be responsible for designing and implementing critical electrical infrastructure projects. You will leverage your technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges related to transmission and distribution systems. Your work will involve a wide range of tasks, including tower design, line design, substation layout, SCADA systems, and protection systems. Your ability to innovate, learn new technologies, and collaborate effectively will be essential to your success in this role.

This is a remote optional role; or can be located at our St. Louis, MO headquarters office for a Substation Engineer.


Requirements for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong experience in protective relay settings/relay coordination
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in any core area of: 
    • T&D Substation Design
    • SCADA Systems/Design
    • System Protection (Relaying) Design
  • Working ability with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electric utility industry and environmental issues

Preferred requirements:

  • Masters Degree OR MBA
  • PE license
