Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled technical writer to join our team and document complex applications and software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, with the ability to translate intricate technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to produce comprehensive manuals, user guides, and online help content that enhance the user experience. Responsibilities:
You’re a perfect match if you:
• Understand and can document complex apps, including desktop, Android, and web apps
• Are familiar with documenting app interaction workflow and UI
• Can write structured, detailed specifications
• Have excellent composition and grammar skills
• Understand the software development lifecycle
• Can manage documentation schedules, reviews, and approval processes for multiple products
• Work with minimal direction toward goals and can become proficient with new tools and software quickly
• Can create and maintain an information architecture for technical documentation including establishing a management strategy, and managing collaboration, review, version control, and publication processes

• You have experience editing material for communications, reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications
• You don’t mind editing proposals and manuscripts by reviewing content for compliance, completeness, accuracy, and correctness of language to meet standards of style and accuracy
• You are skilled at finding inconsistencies of thought, development, or organization in documentation
• You are comfortable editing copy and managing rewrites of material

• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and graphics
• Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard technical style guides
• Experience maintaining templates and modules of technical documents
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in English, journalism, writing or similar
• 3+ years of relevant experience in developing technical publications including writing, graphic design, development of artwork, and document control
• Basic project management skills with an emphasis on time management (prioritization, scheduling and deadline management), communication, organization (document planning, file management, and task tracking), and project planning (scope definition and milestone setting)
• Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing system
• SME in Microsoft Applications, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant content management tools
• Comfortable with written communication and documentation
• Self-starter with the ability to dive in with minimal direction
• Flexible and have experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
• Must be a US citizen
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
