Job Purpose
Manage IT needs and goals for Straughan Environmental, Inc. Respond to requests for support from employees at a Tier 1 Level and escalate to external support as needed. Lead objectives to improve Straughan’s IT infrastructure for Data Management, Security and Resiliency, and Performance and User Experience. Manage and support our external Managed IT Services provider.

Salary Range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000. The compensation for this role is commensurate with experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems
- Support of backup solutions and verification of backup success with appropriate remediation
- Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
- Basic remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix
- Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications, and respond accordingly through service tickets
- System documentation maintenance and review in ConnectWise
- Communication with employees and management: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
- Desktop/laptop deployments and inventory management
- Support IT needs for onboarding/offboarding employees
- Active directory additions/changes/terminations – with appropriate actions in other sub- systems depending on customer environment.
- Phone, tablet, and cell phone management
- Printer/copier management
- Manage user groups and permission settings.
- Identify security risks and develop recommendations for improvements and mitigation measures.
- Update or develop IT policies and procedures.
- Lead file and data management governance practices, including file management structures, archiving data, and leading plans to migrate files to a cloud platform.
- Promote a positive IT user-experience for employees, enabling our team to work effectively and efficiently.
- Support growth initiatives related to adopting new technology, including AI services.
- Primary point of contact and management responsibilities for our external Managed IT Services provider.
Qualifications
Education: BA/BS, preferably in computer science, business administration or a related field.
Experience: 2 years of IT and customer service experience.

- Service awareness of key IT services for which support is being provided
- Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services
- Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment
