POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Hospitality Services, Hospitality Services Staff members maintain a clean and comfortable environment in all accommodations, meeting spaces, program facilities, and public areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Cleaning of guest rooms: This includes bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting making beds, and emptying trash.
- Cleaning of public areas: This includes bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, emptying trash and straightening furniture.
- Cleaning of cottages between guests. This includes kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas as well as stocking linen closets and other supplies.
- Cleaning of meeting spaces before and after functions: This includes weddings, meetings, concerts, conferences, churches and other functions as specified by Housekeeping, Conference Services and Guest Services.
- Maintains water supplies, trash removal, and cleanliness of meeting spaces, before, during, and after conference and guest functions.
- Clean public restrooms daily.
- Clean staff restrooms Sunday–Friday.
- Maintains clean and clutter-free areas in the hospitality services staff area.
- Practices safe chemical usage.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance as needed to guest accommodations, cottages, and meeting spaces, Ensures smoke detectors, light fixtures, hardware and plumbing are functioning correctly
- Reports any damage or additional maintenance concerns in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school degree or equivalent desired, but not required.
· A valid driver’s license is preferred, but not required.
· Ability to interpret oral and written informational data is required.
· Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people representing all social and economic segments of the community.
· Excellent customer service skills and the ability to enforce rules in a professional and positive manner is a must.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to walk, pull, push, sit, bend, or stand for prolonged periods of time. Other physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
