Valparaiso Family Dentistry is a respected dental practice committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are looking for a dedicated, highly organized Dental Assistant to join our team and help us continue delivering excellent dental services.
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience as a dental assistant
- X-ray certification required
- Experience with dental implants preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental software systems is a plus

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Take and process dental X-rays, ensuring patient safety and accurate diagnostic results
- Provide chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort and anticipating the dentist's needs
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Keep the treatment environment clean and organized, restocking supplies as necessary
