POSITION/ROLE:
We are looking for a Licensed Therapist who will be responsible for providing high quality patient care, from assessment and treatment planning, to group therapy sessions. This position is responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering care for patients with mental and emotional issues, substance abuse, and other addictive behaviors while also delivering group content that helps clients understand their mental health issues and how to cope with them.
Success in this role comes from being passionate about helping people, a team player, open-minded and willing to constantly learn and improve professionally as a therapist within the area of mental health services.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
· Master’s or doctorate degree in behavioral sciences or related field
· At least two 2 years professional experience in related field
· Valid license to practice psychotherapy in the State of California
· Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle patients based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning at.
· Must have sensitivity to and ability to embrace individuals of different genders, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religions, physical abilities & those with diversified cultural backgrounds
· Proficiency using Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel Experience and using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
· Strong charting/documentation skills
