Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Fulfillment Manager, the Parts Lead is someone who performs a variety of warehouse duties in accordance with company policies and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to, Parts Pick & Pack outbound, receiving, putting away, inventory cycle counts, and maintaining bin locations. This is a non-supervisory position.
Responsibilities:
Shipping:
· Pick parts orders according to sales orders and delivery note
· Manage this department utilizing best practices in inventory management and ergonomic methods to receive and pick/pack product
· Label and verify each outbound shipment and check all items for accuracy
· Prepare stable loads and package cartons for damage free shipping, incorporating ergonomic practices where appropriate
· Notify manager when discrepancies occur, over-shipments or substitutions have been made
· Accurately pick product and count all items and verify with packing list in a timely manner
· Accurately and concisely decipher sales orders, delivery notes, bills of lading and all other associated documentation
Safety:
· Follow all safety policies
Maintain Work Practices:
· Maintain work environment to 5S standards
· Punctual by beginning work on time and return from lunch and breaks on time
· Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers
· Act as a mentor in leading, training and instructing other staff with Outbound responsibilities
· Communicate with Fulfillment Manager on continuous improvement practices
· Promote a positive, safe, clean, and well-organized work areas
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalency required
Experience:
· Shipping and receiving experience required
· A minimum 24-month exemplary work history as a warehouse associate with a high level of experience obtained
· Possess a solid understanding of shipping regulations and requirements
· Experience using computers and software to track inventory and shipments
· Forklift certification a plus
Other Requirements:
· Proficient using Microsoft Office products
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to work overtime when needed
· Capable of proficiently picking, packing, shipping, staging, arranging, and handling parts and finished goods orders
· Capable of mentoring, leading, training and instructing L1 and L2 employees with all Outbound Parts responsibilities
