Description
Seabreeze Property Services is seeking a Business Development Director to join our growing team. The Director of Business Development reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing new business opportunities across all divisions of Seabreeze: Landscape Maintenance, Snow, and Landscape Construction. The Business Development Director will be responsible for profitably and responsibly growing Seabreeze’s book of business. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, a deep understanding of industry dynamics, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Specific duties include:
- Work with the Seabreeze leadership team to set and meet ambitious sales goals.
- Manage the lead construction estimator.
- Research and identify high-potential accounts for our services.
- Cold call prospects. Initiate contact with targeted prospects to introduce services and build relationships.
- Schedule and conduct face-to-face or virtual meetings with prospective clients to present services and assess their needs.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and bids that address client needs and Seabreeze’s financial objectives.
- Track and manage leads and opportunities using Hubspot and Aspire CRM.
- Develop and execute against marketing and networking strategies
- Participate in local events to strengthen Seabreeze’s community presence.
- Become an active member of industry associations and attend monthly events.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with operations and account managers to ensure seamless handoff from sales to service delivery.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress towards goals,and market feedback to the management team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of sales or estimating experience
- Clear understanding of the landscape industry and/or construction process, means, and methods
- Experience planning and executing prospecting activities leading to initial and follow-up meetings
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet established deadlines
- Must be organized, self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Thrives under pressure, handles customer escalations in a calm and solution-oriented manner
