Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that all production components are manufactured to the highest quality standards. This position involves overseeing the design, optimization, troubleshooting of CNC machining operations, driving continuous improvements in production processes, and collaborating with both R&D and Production Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of newly released components and assemblies. Expertise in CNC machining, combined with a strong engineering background, enables the development of efficient production processes from the start, optimizing both quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level programming for CNC machines, develop tooling, and implement automation where appropriate to increase production efficiency
  • Identify, recommend, and lead improvement projects on manufacturing floor and implement permanent long-term solutions to production workspace using data driven analysis
  • Assist with the implementation of new equipment by providing input on technical specifications, component analysis, trials, factory acceptance, delivery and installation, commissioning, and hand-off to production
  • Collaborate with R&D team to develop and refine manufacturing processes for new designs/materials to provide early indications of product quality and ensure seamless integration to the production workspace
  • Develop and amend the production process controls and documentation
  • Assist in resolving non-conformances including investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations.
  • Project Management Leadership experience (e.g., APQP, capital procurement, etc.) 
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Manufacturing / Aerospace / etc.)
  • Extensive experience in machining, including CNC Lathes, Swiss machines, etc. with a strong focus on high-precision component applications
  • Advanced understanding of machining capabilities, methods, cutting tools, and fixtures used to manufacture precision components made from aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and other aerospace grade materials
  • Proficiency in precision measuring tools, gages, and equipment
  • Good organization, documentation/record keeping, and communication skills - oral and written
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with machining post-processes (heat treatment, anodize, passivation, nitriding, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP tools, manufacturing BOM structures, and process routers
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAM software for design and manufacturing
  • Due to regulatory requirements, candidate must be a U.S citizen

Salaried exempt position, including health, vision, dental, & disability insurance, PTO, and 401K benefits.


Salary Description
$85,000-$115,000/year
