POSITION SUMMARY: We are actively hiring Chinese Mandarin Instructors to work with a diverse team focusing on materials of a scientific nature, as well as language instruction.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interaction with a wide variety of Government and contractor personnel in a diverse, evolving, high-profile environment.
• Help others increase language levels from 0+ to 3 with emphasis on reading skills.
• Work with students at various levels to effectively teach language fundamentals as well as develop vocabulary and skills.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI with polygraph is required. However, candidates with any level of clearance, including those with no clearance but who are deemed eligible, may be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of operational experience.
• Ability to obtain an ILR level3 on a translation assessment.
• Mandarin Speaking/Listening/Reading Test: 4/4/3
• 1 year of teaching experience required.
• Must be able to get along in a diverse team in a fast-paced environment with high stakes outcomes.
• Experience with translation into English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Military experience.
• Experience editing, quality control, summarizing/gisting, and translation related services.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work will be performed during ordinary hours (e.g., 8-5) in an ordinary work week (Monday-Friday).

PAY RANGE:

Pay Range: $110,000 - $200,000 a year

Ascensus Global (AGI) pay range and level are general guidelines for this job. Several factors, including education, geographic location, contract labor categories, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, or market data, determine the final salary.
