Position Purpose:
The Senior Specialist – BD is responsible for the development and execution of business development strategies to achieve market plans and targets that deliver growth in corporate relationships and extend WaW's brand reputation with corporates, members positioning WaW as the certification/learning program of choice in India for HR and L&D professionals.
The Senior Specialist – BD will contribute to the delivery of the strategy in India for corporates, universities and members. They will manage designated stakeholders in their region. The role will be responsible for prioritizing stakeholders, putting in place clear engagement plans and providing regular reports on activity against plans and targets.
The role will be responsible for delivering agreed business development targets, supporting the delivery of India growth aspirations for WorldatWork.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities include:
- Understand and contribute towards the corporate strategy and business plan, with a specific focus on growth in corporate relationships, number of members in India, number of channel partners, learners and certification holders.
- Develop and grow the university partnerships in the region.
- Contribute to the event business segment by attracting sponsors, attendees and supporting the registration process.
- Own, grow and develop relationships with designated corporates understanding their business requirements and providing support, solutions, and services to meet them.
- Create and implement partner engagement plans to deliver personal business development targets and maintain positive and mutually beneficial relationships over time.
- Engage with key business leaders and HR executives in multinational corporations [MNCs] and large national companies [LNCs], PSUs.
- Manage multiple stakeholder relationships (corporates, members, learners, channel partners, and universities) and drive business growth.
- Hold high quality conversations with corporates to understand their business needs and match them to WaW's products and services.
- Participate or take ownership of hosting events targeting corporates to build WaW's reputation and influence in the market.
- Identify and suggest opportunities for campaigns, marketing activity and services that will support the achievement of WaW's growth aspirations in India.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify opportunities to further develop WaW's proposition and offering.
- Maintain accurate data, records and report regularly on progress through agreed reporting mechanisms (salesforce)

Qualifications:
- Masters in Business Administration plus Bachelors in Commerce (commerce/business), marketing
- At least 12+ years of demonstrable experience in business development, key account management and business-to-business relationship management, ideally in a professional service-based environment
- A high level of motivation, proactiveness and enthusiasm; able to work independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to create and deliver presentations and proposals targeted to senior business leaders and HR executives.
- Ready to learn attitude in a multi-stakeholder environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and oral both in Hindi and in English
- Knowledge of sales, business development frameworks, processes, and techniques
- Strong understanding of global human resource trends and challenges across multiple global markets, particularly in MNCs, Indian corporates, universities
- Ability to negotiate large scale deals, strategic thinking, business acumen, attain results, lead change, communicate effectively, possess knowledge of the human resources industry.
- Executive level selling experience in a consultative, solution-oriented environment, preferably in a trade or professional association, educational products/services company, or consulting firm.
- Successful past performance in business development (developing customer relationships, account strategies, developing a qualified pipeline, and capturing large-scale deals)
- Ability to serve as a credible representative of WaW to the business community.
