OVERVIEW (WHAT YOU’LL DO)

As an ERM Risk Manager I, you will be accountable for assisting in the creation of risk standards, conducting comprehensive risk assessments, and collaborating closely with First Line business units to facilitate risk management activities. This role is critical in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks to ensure the organization’s risk management framework is robust and effective.


Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE (HOW YOU’LL DO IT)


Manage the people and process in completing the end-to-end RCSA risk service process including but not limited to the following:

  • Risk Assessments: Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the organization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with first line business units to support and guide them through the risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) process.
  • Risk and Control Identification: Identify emerging risks and trends that could impact the organization and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Control Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend enhancements where necessary.
  • Monitoring: Provide effective challenge over First Line activities including risk assessment, control design, control effectiveness, strategic assumptions, risk analysis, and conclusions made during risk activities.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present risk reports, including visuals and dashboards, to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Training: Provide training and support to First Line business units on risk management practices including RCSA process and other risk programs.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of risk management policies and standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evolve workflow processes, develop job aids, deliver training and consultation as needed to improve process effectiveness and efficiency. Enhance and seek process improvement opportunities, collaborating with management, to use technology solutions to reduce reliance on manual processes.
  • Issue Management: Assist in the evaluation of, and consult on the remediation of, risk deficiencies and risk events including root cause analysis and process improvement recommendations; follow escalation protocol when required.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. 
  • Develop and train FLOD and SLOD staff in Risk Assessment processes. Oversee successful execution of critical risk assessment work streams.

QUALIFICATIONS (WHAT YOU’LL BRING)

  • Strong analytical skills to identify potential risks from data provided.
  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly, often under pressure, to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across the company and various levels of management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various business units.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products to include Outlook, Excel, Word.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise risk management, compliance, finance, or audit, preferably within a financial services or corporate environment.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory, leadership or management experience.
  • A relevant certification (e.g., CERP, CRMA, CISA) is a plus.
  • Experience in technology, information security and/or data risk management field preferred.
  • Fintech experience preferred.

Salary Description
$98,408.26- $123,010.33 annually
