Description

AMHC’s Children's Crisis Stabilization Unit in Fort Fairfield is actively recruiting for Full-Time Children’s Residential Counselors. The Children's Residential Center provides 24/7 emergency support in the form of intervention and stabilization services. This is a 365-day-per-year service. Candidates that will be considered for this position will work different shifts for AMHC to meet the needs of the youth and families. The chosen candidate is expected to demonstrate the core values of AMHC by showing Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Service, Collaboration, and Respect to co-workers, clients, and community members.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and 4 years of life/work experience required
  • Associate degree and 3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Identify and develop Collaborative plans that include client and their guardian's goals and demonstrates AMHC's focus on Service by identifying their needs.
  • Demonstrate the Excellence in service by providing 24-hour per-day supervision, supportive counseling, and Respectful assistance to experiencing family and/or psychiatric crisis
  • Educate clients in decision-making, problem-solving, and developing and utilizing coping skills with Compassion
  • Demonstrate the Integrity of AMHC by collaborating with other services to create an aftercare plan
