Description

King & Prince Seafood is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the night shift to join the organization to directly supervise a team of maintenance crafts for day-to-day activities.  Develop maintenance leads for each shift, and to help build the team to constantly challenge ourselves to increase knowledge of each craft to which they are assigned. 


The primary role of the Maintenance Supervisor is to identify, manage and mitigate risks in the maintenance and reliability processes, and improve maintenance crafts skills with a direct emphasis on Continuous Improvement models and procedures as well as root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives for recurring equipment failures, ensuring long-term solutions are implemented.


The maintenance supervisor's key responsibilities include; developing asset work management plans, implementing predictive and preventive maintenance programs, assisting the maintenance planner with writing maintenance plans, ensuring the reliability and maintainability of all current, new, and modified equipment.  Develop maintenance plans for preventative and corrective work for the maintenance technicians to perform in a safe and reliable way to help increase machine up time and reduce downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment reliability, optimize maintenance strategies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

 Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. degree (engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant supervisory experience in manufacturing 
  • Experience in leading improvement efforts in reliability and predictive/preventive maintenance in a food manufacturing or seafood environment
  •  Able to Supervise in an environment of skilled trades crafts of Mechanical, Welder-Fabrication, and Electrical Techs and the ability to train all crafts in the maintenance department 
  • Process optimization and plant support experience (i.e., process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, process optimization)
  • Working knowledge in the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of food processing, packaging, and building utilities equipment 
  • Working knowledge of and experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, conveyor, PLC, ammonia refrigeration and water treatment systems 
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement models and procedures

  • Experience in leading organizational change initiatives and fostering collaboration across departments
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
  • Experience with Asset Strategy Development
