Loan Origination Assistant Manager

A Day in Your Life at Peoples Bank:
As a Loan Origination Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the daily supervision of the Loan Origination Department functions and employees. You will ensure that processes and controls are designed efficiently, effectively, and compliantly. In addition, you will act as the expert resource for the loan production team and other departments for problem resolution.
Your Primary Responsibilities Would Include:
- Being responsible for workflow management and scheduling of Loan Origination staff.
- Providing daily supervision for the department, including performance reviews, one-on-ones, salary recommendations, career counseling, scheduling work assignments, and monitoring timecards.
- Providing problem-solving assistance to the Loan Origination team, loan officers, support staff and related departments.
- Ensuring processes are efficient, properly designed, compliant and ensuring procedures are clearly documented.
- Managing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for the department, ensuring new or changed processes are documented in accordance with bank standards.
- Ensuring that all departmental policy and procedural changes are approved utilizing either the Policy and Procedure Development Committee or Enterprise Change Management system.
- Providing subject matter expertise for Loan Projects related to Loan Origination.
- Providing subject matter expertise and performing maintenance for systems related to Loan Origination.
- Supporting loan audits by gathering information and coordinating loan reports for request list.
- Backing up Loan Origination Manager tasks and functions as needed.
What You Bring to the Team:
- You have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- You have a minimum 2 years of loan operations or support experience.
- You should have 2 years of supervisory experience.
- You have knowledge of loan documentation, loan policies, processes and procedures.
- You have a strong working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- You have demonstrated effective leadership and problem-solving skills.
- You have knowledge of loan documentation, loan policies, processes, and procedures.
- You possess knowledge of and compliance with banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
- You work with minimal supervision and have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- You have strong interpersonal skills including professional etiquette and service mentality.
- You are skilled at business communication, both verbal and written.
- You have a strong professional demeanor and high regard for confidentiality.
- You can travel to other Peoples Bank locations and off-site for meetings and/or training as required.
- You have the ability to model the Peoples Bank Mission, Vision, and Values.
