Overall Position Purpose

The Statistical Data Analyst position exists to provide psychometric and statistical services for Inteleos certification examination programs. The primary responsibilities shall include performing psychometric and statistical analyses using software such as R and WINSTEPS, as well as generating both routine and ad hoc psychometric outputs, analyses, and reports. This role is key in ensuring the data integrity and supporting the continuous improvement of exam processes. The Statistical Data Analyst will promote and support the Inteleos culture of inclusivity. 


Core Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and ad hoc psychometric and statistical analyses;
  • Develop, modify, and continually evaluate scripted statistical procedures concerning critical exam data; 
  • Utilize statistical software and tools to conduct psychometric analyses and support test development; 
  • Verify that all test scores are accurate and published in a timely manner; 
  • Facilitate subject-matter expert groups through the psychometric processes in developing valid and defensible passing standards and content outlines; 
  • Work with Testing staff and volunteers to ensure test development processes are followed and understood; 
  • Identify and propose improvements to psychometric and quality management procedures;  
  • Construct exam forms using psychometric processes and methods while coordinating with Testing Department staff;  
  • Provide quality control for vital exam statistics and test-taker data; 
  • Maintain and follow compliance processes and procedures as required by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) for organizational accreditation; 
  • Prepare and present reports on exam performance and psychometric findings to internal stakeholders and leadership; and 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Environment

  • Incumbent has no formal supervisory responsibility for work unit and/or external vendors and consultants. 

Work Environment

The incumbent will work at a desk in an office environment or an approved remote location. This position may require evening and weekend hours, as well as occasional travel. There are minimal requirements to lift or move equipment. 


Requirements

Required Education/Experience

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in statistics, measurement and testing, or a related field; and 
  • Minimum of one year of applied experience in a related field preferred (academic experience will be considered). 

Required Qualifications/ Skills

  • Ability to identify and propose testing process improvements; 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; 
  • Ability to maintain a broad perspective on concepts while ensuring accuracy in details; ; 
  • Demonstrated experience in classical test theory and statistical data analyses; 
  • Demonstrated experience in experimental design and conducting applied testing research;  
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the?ability to interact effectively, efficiently, and professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization; 
  • Demonstrated skill in technical writing; 
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment; 
  • Ability to maintain a?positive attitude under stressful conditions; 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills; 
  • High-level computer literacy, with extensive skills in running and interpreting R; and
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
