JOB SUMMARY
Performs testing operations on one or more product lines and provides results to necessary personnel
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Sets up, operates, and uses various types of test and test setup equipment
- Performs test item preparation in accordance with Test or Process Specifications
- Performs tests in accordance with Test Specifications and/or Departmental Instructions
- Reports all test discrepancies
- Input pellet burn data into testing database
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- N/A
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
- Six months of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a quality assurance role
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Capable of learning to operate various types of test equipment
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain such within 90 days
- Eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF)
- Willing to work in an environment that requires a “Safety First” attitude. Must obey all Safety, Health & Environmental rules/regulations prescribed by regulatory agencies that are incorporated into company policy
- Ability read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- On the job training will be required
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle energetic and non-energetic material
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
