Objective
This position is responsible for setting the strategic procurement path for the organization by ensuring processes and procedures to efficiently and cost effectively purchase the goods needed across the entire organization
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Procurement Managers and Procurement Analysts
- Execute the Monster Brewing Company’s leadership team’s vision and ensure procurement is aligned with their direction
- Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses while increasing productivity
- Work directly with the Monster Energy procurement team to align strategies and goals
- Establish purchasing policies and ensure compliance across the network of breweries and co-packers
- Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.
- Ensure supply chains are stable and performing well
- Develop new supply sources where vendors are inadequate
- Establishes account/credit and terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Negotiates best vendor terms and pricing for business necessities
- Continually evaluate offers from suppliers
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and client
- Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics

Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move 10-40 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
