OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Electrical Engineer is a challenging and critical position. This position is highly energetic requiring significant multi-tasking and exceptional communication skills across many aspects of the business. Specific responsibilities below are functions that will be required in the Electrical Engineer role.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the electrical aspects related to the product design including motors, sensors, connectors, cabling, control methods, etc. The Electrical Engineer will follow the product through the full product life cycle including proposal, design, development, verification, and product support. The Electrical Engineer, along with other key members, are responsible for ensuring that designs meet program cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Provide Electrical Engineering (EE) inputs for conceptual trade studies and proposal efforts.
- Provide EE inputs for product design, including review/approve detailed piece part drawings.
- Provide EE technical support to manufacturing, suppliers, or customers.
- Knowledge of motor theory.
- Define, design, and support electrical test equipment for each product application.
- Define the scope of work and oversee the effort of EE technical specialists (control system design, circuit design, PWB layout, software, EMI design, etc.).
- Adhere to departmental procedures and standards to achieve highest quality of throughput.
- Participate on special assignments.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
MININUM QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- 5 to 7 Years of related experience.
- U.S. Citizen, no dual citizenship allowed.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Aerospace and FAA design requirements.
- Knowledge of control systems.
- Knowledge of aerospace software development.
- Knowledge of electronic circuit design and PWB layout.
- Knowledge of certification testing per DO-160 or MIL-STD-810.
- Knowledge of LabVIEW software.
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink software.
- Knowledge of Aerospace Configuration Management.
