Overview

Indie Consulting is seeking a highly organized and proactive PR Assistant to join our fractional resourcing team. This role will provide vital support to the PR team, including two PR Managers and the Head of PR and Influence, ensuring smooth execution of PR strategies and activations across projects for a global beauty client.

Responsibilities

  • PR Support
    • Provide administrative, organizational, and project management support to the PR Managers and Head of PR and Influence.
    • Assist in managing and updating the PR calendar and activation timelines for all Personal Care projects.
    • Coordinate the collection, organization, and timely delivery of press materials, key message documents, briefing documents, and media assets.
    • Support brainstorming sessions and document innovative PR ideas to enhance campaigns, collaborating with internal teams to challenge and refine strategies.
    • Build and maintain a comprehensive contact database to streamline media outreach and ensure efficiency.
  • Project Management
    • Serve as the day-to-day liaison between agency partners (e.g., Edelman) and internal brand teams to support brand activations, product launches, and event planning.
    • Track and manage project progress, deliverables, and timelines, keeping the PR Managers and Head of PR informed with regular updates.
  • KPI Focus
    • Collect and consolidate earned media reporting data, analyzing performance against benchmarks and KPIs.
    • Prepare detailed updates for senior stakeholders, ensuring accurate and organized data reporting.

  • Familiarity with PR tools and software (e.g., media contact databases) is a plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in public relations or a related role
  • Interest in the beauty and personal care industry, with a desire to grow and develop expertise in the field
  • Experience coordinating with agency partners and supporting cross-functional teams
