As the Associate Creative Director, you’ll lead and mentor a team of creatives to concept, craft and produce creative ideas that support campaigns for a diverse roster of government, non-profit and corporate clients and issues.
Working closely with the Executive Creative Director, this role will lead the day-to-day work of an internal creative team that supports a variety of client account teams and campaigns.
Collaborating with Account Service teams to determine the best way to achieve client goals by selecting the best mix of digital, traditional and social media and overseeing the implementation, optimization and reporting of integrated campaigns. In addition to being an excellent creative, the ACD must be a strong leader, capable of effectively leading a team of creative professionals and demonstrating commitment to their own creative growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work in partnership with other creative team members, including art directors and designers, to concept and produce campaigns spanning various media and platform deliverables, including video, digital/social and content.
· Set a high aesthetic and conceptual standard for work, coaching and mentoring the team to meet and exceed that standard consistently.
· Design solutions that address customer needs and support campaign performance.
· Act as a hands-on conceptual lead for a wide variety of client deliverables – working comfortably with both design and copy.
· Effectively manage multiple jobs simultaneously, delegating and providing direction/oversight as needed to achieve client objectives.
· Work collaboratively with project management, account service, media and production partners to keep projects on target, on schedule and on budget.
· Can quickly produce high-quality headlines when primary writers are unavailable
· 7-10+ years of professional creative experience, preferably in an agency environment.
· Deep understanding of design craft and theory.
· Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
· Portfolio program graduates preferred
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
· An eye for detail and experience managing day-to-day changes with a team-oriented attitude.
· Ability to discuss / present work effectively with colleagues and clients to explain and sell through ideas.
· Possess a strong portfolio of conceptual work that includes advertising campaigns (broadcast is a plus).
· The ability to give and receive feedback in a positive manner is a must.
