General Summary
The Merchandise Manager is responsible for executing the store set up, managing retail staff, driving customer experience, and delivering on partnership implementation within the merchandise store. The Merchandise Manager should have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the retail operations, and a proven track record of successful management in a retail setting.
Principles, Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day retail operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Work cross-functionally with the merchandise Planning, Product, and E Commerce teams, as well as other IRONMAN departs; athlete services, partnership activation; operations; and marketing teams.
- Ability to manage and lead a diverse team of retail staff, providing guidance and support
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
- Must be well versed in the technical aspects of all products categories
- Execute initiatives to improve customer experience, satisfaction, and loyalty.
- Assist with in-store customer service questions providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to acknowledge and resolve customer inquiries while maintaining empathy for the customer and their situation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security standards and handle emergency situations as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Retail Management, or related field
- Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain, and logistics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
- Familiarity with retail software and point of sale systems.
- Proactive and results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Extensive Travel Required
