ark data centers is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Sales, Network Edge to lead and drive the sales strategy focused on network edge services. This strategic individual contributor sales role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, exceeding sales quotas, and achieving key company goals by positioning our data centers as the preferred infrastructure for next-generation network edge deployments. You will engage with network providers, hyperscale cloud platforms, and strategic partners to expand our footprint in the rapidly growing edge computing space.
Key Responsibilities
1. Network Edge Sales Strategy & Execution
- Lead the development and execution of the sales strategy for network edge services across our data center portfolio, focusing on driving revenue and capturing market share in the rapidly expanding edge computing market.
- Develop and manage sales plans that target key verticals, including hyperscale cloud providers, carriers, content delivery networks (CDNs), and other network operators, with a focus on increasing the adoption of our edge, cloud onramps, and interconnection solutions.
2. Hyperscale Cloud & Carrier Ecosystem Sales
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hyperscale cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta) and telecommunications carriers to drive sales and new business opportunities in the network edge space.
- Identify and secure key deals with cloud service providers, ensuring the seamless integration of our data center infrastructure with cloud onramps, direct interconnections, and edge computing solutions.
3. Network Density, Interconnection & Internet Exchange Sales
- Drive sales and business development initiatives that promote the expansion of network density and interconnection opportunities across our data center footprint.
- Focus on selling interconnection solutions and Internet Exchange (IX) services that enhance performance and reduce costs for customers, strengthening our data center’s position as a key hub for global networking and edge deployments.
4. Exceed Quotas & Achieve Strategic Business Goals
- Take ownership of sales quotas and work diligently to exceed revenue targets and other strategic business objectives, ensuring alignment with company growth plans.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies that exceed sales targets.
5. Market Intelligence & Industry Leadership
- Monitor and analyze trends in the network edge, 5G, SDN, NFV, and cloud computing sectors to develop insights that inform sales strategies and identify new market opportunities.
- Act as a thought leader and representative for our company in the network edge space, attending and speaking at industry conferences, forums, and events to increase brand awareness and attract new business.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the data center, telecommunications, or cloud services industries, with a focus on network edge solutions, interconnection, or hyperscale cloud deployments.
- Proven success in exceeding sales quotas, managing complex sales cycles, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives.
- Expertise in selling network edge, cloud onramps, interconnection, and related services to enterprise clients, hyperscale providers, carriers, and CDNs.
Compensation: The base compensation for this position is $90,000-156,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including experience and skillsets.
