Clearance: None is required, but the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is preferred.


Work Schedule: Part-time, Onsite. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.


Role Overview:

We are looking for a creative and eager-to-learn IT specialist who can think outside the box and operate with a great deal of initiative. You will be working on an effort to support Linchpin Solutions Inc.'s corporate office relating to IT troubleshooting, hardware and software upgrades, and cybersecurity incident response.


General Skillset

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 
  • Verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and individually  
  • Critical Thinking Skills 
  • Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed 

Specific Skillset

  • Knowledge of how to Install, configure, service, repair, and maintain Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Integrate multiple Information Systems (IS) in a networked environment.
  • Evaluate and resolve employee IT problems.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on hardware and company assets.
  • Effect required hardware upgrades and repair to maintain mission capability.
  • Install and configure wireless hubs, routers, switches, and various transmission media, server hardware and software, and ensure the proper installation and configuration of workstation hardware and software for efficient operation on the network. Install, optimize, and troubleshoot Local Area Network (LAN) and Base Area Networks (BAN).
Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering is highly preferred.

Experience Requirements 

  • 1+ years of experience related to Information Technology (IT)
  • Experience with Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and Network Address Translation (NAT) is preferred.
  • Experience imaging laptop computers. 
  • Demonstrated experience applying creative solutions to IT-related problems.
  • Coursework in Cybersecurity is highly preferred
