Position Overview
This position is responsible for supporting the team on new product development and product launch processes, packaging development and concept development, competitive analysis, consumer testing, pricing strategy, promotional strategy, education and collateral support. This is a full-time, temporary position covering a MAT Leave.
Responsibilities
- Product Innovation: Support brand managers with new product innovation including overall market and competitive review of claims and pricing, and concept development. Support creation of marketing assets such as copy bibles, quick facts, FAQs, etc.
- Holistic Management + Support: Support brand manager in the overall review of all marketing verticals’ work to ensure consistency across all consumer marketing elements
- Artwork Management: Work with packaging engineers and creative designers to brief artwork development including all copy related to performance, claims, and usage. Work with Research and Development and Regulatory to ensure all copy is globally compliant. Work with translation house to translate into all required languages. Manage and review artwork submissions, proofs and approval process within Living Proof.
- Consumer and Market Research: Support consumer related research on product line including defining screener and preparing questionnaires. Analyze data and report findings to team. Other research includes tracking online consumer reviews and distilling relevant market data from resources like Mintel into presentations. On-going monitoring and summarizing of industry resources such as WGSN, NPD, Mintel, and industry publications.
- Presentations: Support brand managers in creation of marketing decks and other ad hoc business needs.
- Competitive + Category Research: On an ongoing basis, monitor and analyze all relevant competitive information on Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, prestige retailers, Salons and Mass and provide recommendations for key competitive benchmarks, trends to watch and new product ideas and present recaps with actionable recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required
- Mandatory: 2-4 years CPG experience
- Beauty industry experience preferred

- Responsible and extremely resourceful in finding answers and solutions when information and data is not readily available
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation experience
