Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and reliable Facilities/Janitorial Person to join our automotive dealership team. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our customers and staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and take pride in ensuring the facilities are always well-maintained.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and Sanitation:
    • Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, offices, showroom, and customer areas.
    • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
    • Ensure all areas are free of debris and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
  2. Waste Management:
    • Properly dispose of trash and recycling materials.
    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles both inside and outside the dealership.
  3. Facilities Maintenance:
    • Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed promptly to management.
    • Assist in minor repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned.
  4. Inventory Control:
    • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
    • Ensure cleaning supplies are stored properly and securely.
  5. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
    • Maintain a safe environment by promptly addressing spills and hazardous situations.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with other dealership staff to ensure seamless operations.
    • Assist with special projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in janitorial or facilities maintenance roles preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
