POSITION OVERVIEW
As GO continues its high rate of growth, we seek a strategic Marketing leader adept at building and managing relationships with c-level executives, working closely with customer teams to drive measurable business outcome. The Director, Customer Marketing will be responsible for overall strategic client direction; understanding the brand(s) business objectives, strategy management of product catalog/merchandizing, oversight of brand(s) P&L, achievement/exceeding yearly sales targets beyond expected Amazon category growth trajectory. The Director will supervise and consult holistic yearly retail and Advertising planning, forecasting and execution of integrated retail and marketing tactics across ecommerce channels, primarily Amazon in partnership with GO marketing/advertising partners. Responsibilities
- Drive overall strategy for the brand, pricing, promotion, new product launches, and how to best advertise a brand and/or product, for small to medium accounts
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients
- Gain a deep understanding of a brand, the competitive landscape, and its key business objectives to deliver growth strategy through qualitative analysis and quantitative data
- Developing data driven recommendations using relevant sales, market and consumer data to achieve client’s strategic objectives and identifying areas for improvement and optimization with a focus on ROI
- Manage the content required to support the product assortment for Amazon; work with internal and external partners to develop approved product imagery and descriptive copy
- Manage brand budgets and profitability
- Work with the GO Ads Operation team to stay close to Amazon marketing BETAs and programs that can be leveraged on behalf of our clients
- Oversee storytelling and communication of the client’s overall marketing strategy for internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive rigor against KPIs leveraging analytics to ensure we are constantly optimizing tactics across the various elements of the funnel and linking to business results.
- Drive alignment across brand and marketing KPIs to ensure overall brand strategy and annual plans are being properly supported.
- Champion a mindset of test and learn to continually enhance and evolve activation and marketing plans across the funnel.
- Flexibility to contribute at all levels of the business from high-level strategy to the day-to-day hands-on operations
- Ensures the team is constantly evolving to meet business needs and business opportunities. Provide clear direction to ensure that smart risks are being taken and that financial targets are met
- Develop a compelling, unified, end-to-end consumer experience which enhances the brand and increases awareness and engages new and existing consumers.
- Ensure flawless technical execution of all channels, while synchronizing efforts across content, creative, growth marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Work with Amazon Ads team to receive core data from Amazon to inform better advertising delivery for clients within budget, utilize existing 3rd party information and reporting to provide updates to the brand teams on progress to goals (share, profit, household penetration, etc)
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Marketing preferred
- Preferred - MBA with a Marketing emphasis
- 15+ Years of experience in Brand Management and / or E-Commerce
- Strong experience working with digital advertising and building media strategy (Amazon Advertising, Facebook, Google, etc.)
- Experience working with internal and external business relationships
- Experienced storyteller – taking all the data and being able to communicate that to the client in a meaningful way
- Strongly preferred: Amazon experience
