Job Summary

The IT Systems Administrator provides support for our company’s desktops, laptops, mobile devices, audio/visual equipment, network, and other employee facing technologies. This is an on-site role based out of our Woodbury, MN location that may require travel to other Universal Services locations in the Twin Cities area. When this occurs, a company provided vehicle will be available.

  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Procures the necessary hardware to meet the needs of the Universal Services business and installs all systems and productivity software.
  • Procures and sets up all mobile devices for Universal Services, partnering with our mobile service provider. 
  • Provides Help Desk coverage to serve the technology needs of our Universal Services employees, resolving time sensitive and productivity impacting duties such as:
    • Password Resets.
    • Active Directory Object creation & maintenance (including User Accounts, Security Groups, Organizational Units, etc.).
    • Troubleshooting issues with desktop/laptop, mobile device, printer, network and/or Operating Systems that hinder employees from completing their work.
  • Create and/or maintain technical documents for internal technology implementation and maintenance processes.
  • Maintaining the hardware, software, and software images (including software versions) of the office and mobile technology.
  • Provide technology assistance and training to new employees on their start date, and ongoing as needed to all employees. 
  • Coordinate/Schedule IT related installs that support servers, network, or other IT related systems that impact the Universal Services business. 
  • Provide insight/recommendations for IT upgrades.
  • Maintains all IT vendor relationships for Universal Services. 
  • Ensures that Universal Services IT systems are compliant and secure with the necessary technology.

Requirements
  • 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields preferred, not required. Candidates with a strong background in IT and relevant certifications or coursework will also be considered.
  • Minimum two years of experience in IT Help Desk support at a Tier 2 level. 
  • Minimum two years of experience in hardware and mobile device setup. 
  • Passion for providing a high-level of customer service for both internal and external customers. 
  • Valid Drivers License
