Position Overview

The Business Development Manager plays a key role in managing and developing inbound opportunities for ACC and its entities. This individual will be responsible for managing incoming leads, crafting compelling RFP responses, and developing impactful new business decks that highlight the organization’s capabilities and value. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mind, creative instinct, and the ability to quickly understand diverse industries to create pitch materials that resonate. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, the Business Development Manager ensures a seamless process for converting opportunities into meaningful partnerships.


Key Responsibilities


Inbound Opportunity Management

  • Serve as the first point of contact for new business inquiries, assessing potential opportunities and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to qualify leads and prioritize opportunities aligned with the holding company’s strategic goals.
  • Maintain a centralized system to track inbound leads, responses, and outcomes, providing regular reporting to leadership.
  • Proactively monitor for new business opportunities, industry trades, networking events, and market research.


RFP Responses

  • Take ownership of the RFP response process, including gathering requirements, drafting responses, and coordinating input from relevant teams.
  • Ensure all RFP submissions are tailored, persuasive, and aligned with the prospective client’s needs and objectives.
  • Combine data-driven insights, creative thinking, and a strong narrative to demonstrate ACC’s value and unique capabilities.
  • Manage deadlines and workflows to deliver high-quality, on-time submissions.


New Business Deck Development

  • Create, customize, and maintain compelling pitch decks and presentations that showcase ACC and its entities’ capabilities, success stories, and differentiators.
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure all materials are visually engaging and reflect the entities’ branding.
  • Continuously update and refine materials to reflect evolving services, case studies, and market positioning.


Collaboration and Support

  • Partner closely with the Head of New Business Development to align efforts with broader demand generation strategies.
  • Collaborate with ACC and its entities to gather insights, showcase capabilities, and uncover new ways to tell the organization’s story in new business materials.
  • Bring a clear understanding of brand dynamics and audience behaviors to help shape pitches that resonate.
  • Support leadership in client meetings and pitches as needed, ensuring all materials and responses meet the highest standards.


Data Management and Reporting

  • Utilize CRM and project management tools to track leads, pipeline activity, and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze inbound trends and provide actionable insights to inform and improve the company’s approach to new business development.
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of New Business Development and other stakeholders on progress and outcomes.



Requirements

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in business development, proposal management, or sales support, within a holding company or agency

Strong strategic instincts with the ability to “connect the dots” between client challenges, industry insights, and creative solutions.

Proven ability to craft impactful pitch decks and persuasive RFP responses that balance analytical rigor with creative storytelling. 

Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with an eye for detail and a talent for translating ideas into clear, actionable narratives. 

Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides).

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.

A collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

A deep-rooted passion for culture, creativity, and staying informed on current social and industry trends.

Experience in the creative, PR, or marketing industries working on major Fortune 500 brands is required.

Salary Description
$90,000 - $115,000 annually
