Scope
Develops chip packages of ICs, including package design and qualification in OSAT. Analyze the yield rates of new products, and improve yield rates and reduce costs while product ramps.
Responsibilities
- Develop chip package by the communication with OSAT and internal teams
- Analyze the yield data in product ramping stage, corresponding to fab process, chip package, test program and test hardware
- Work on engineering issues of broad scope where analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Ensure that products shipped meet specifications and exceed quality goals
- Reliability board design and follow-up the execution and analysis
- Support failure return analysis for RMA during NPI stage
The Product Engineering should have experience in new chip package development, new product introduction in fabless companies, and new product qualification. When product ramps, he/she should take care about yield data analysis, yield improvement in broad scope:
- Bachelor EE/ME and 3+ years of experience as a Product Engineer required
- Familiarize package engineering, including BGA, QFN, and WLCSP
- Experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing Test or Package Processes
- Familiarize the statistical method for yield data analysis
- Demonstrated ability to implement process enhancements and improved efficiencies
- Experience for electrical failure analysis
- Basic understanding of ATE testing and have the capability to analyze ATE datalog
- Have the communication skill with vendors and third parties
- Experience in quality procedures and documentation
- Written and verbal English communication and presentation skills
