Working side-by-side with passion-driven multidisciplinary teams, we aim to:

  • Minimize the trauma experienced by children and adolescents who have been identified as victims of sexual or physical abuse.
  • Improve the investigation and prosecution of sexual and physical abuse cases from the point of intervention through to treatment and healing. 
  • Promote inter-agency collaboration for effective decision-making and management of sexual and physical abuse cases.
  • Prevent further or future abuse of child victims.
  • Provide training professionals in the field of investigation, prosecution, and provision of services for sexually and physically abused children, adolescents, and their non-offending caretakers.

THE JOB AND YOUR ROLE


As the Program Evaluation Specialist, you would manage systems for collecting and storing data, ensuring the organization’s integrity and compliance, primarily focusing on programmatic data. You would establish and track Safe Shores programs' outcome measures and engage in program evaluation and fidelity monitoring. There is an expectation to seamlessly work across all program areas to better understand client needs, programmatic impacts, and outcomes assessment through data collection and analysis. Ideally, you would have a strong background in data analysis and be adept at using data management and visualization tools to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. 


This position is in-person and subject to limited hybrid work based on programmatic needs. This position is a mandated reporter for child abuse and neglect under District of Columbia Statute §4-1321.02.


The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: 

  • Develop and manage information to support programmatic decision-making and to assess and evaluate programmatic impacts. 
  • Develops, prioritizes and recommends initiatives to improve and build upon data to support the organization’s mission. 
  • Establishes and tracks outcome measures for program effectiveness and monitors program fidelity. 
  • Develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality.  
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and management of comprehensive reports, analytics, and dashboards. 
  • Provide comprehensive management of the organization’s data collection systems to better tell the story of Safe Shores’ work through data collection and analysis.  
  • Provide strategic oversight and vision for data systems and collection organization-wide.  
  • Interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports for internal and external audiences.  
  • Acquire information from data sources and maintain databases/data systems, including Collaborate and other data management systems.  
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data.?  
  • Pioneer initiatives for process improvement, including conducting data collection training to guarantee high standards of data quality and uniformity.  
  • Undertake data filtering and cleaning activities to identify and rectify errors and inconsistencies. 
  • Work alongside the management team to prioritize organizational information needs.  
  • Support the organization’s quality assurance and compliance data collection projects, including those related to the data aspects of accreditation standards and grant and funder agreements. 
  • Track information regarding the organization’s program impact and programmatic effectiveness.   
  • Manage program data and serve as liaison for existing client reporting systems.   
  • Engage in community data collection efforts to enhance partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders to gather information related to effectively serving children. 
  • Check program data for missing or incomplete information and work with relevant program staff to ensure data is complete and accurate (monthly). 
  • Assemble programmatic data for submission to government grantors (quarterly). 
  • Submit data via ZoomGrants and other grant management software as needed.  
  • Maintain and assure quality and confidentiality of electronic records and statistical tracking records for the Clinical Services Program.  Utilize Clinical assessment software (PariConnect).  
  • Liaison with electronic client management vendors regarding program documentation needs and updates. 
  • Manage and implement consistent delivery of the client survey management system; provide feedback to Clinical Services Program staff. 
  • Provide administrative support to maintain and foster program growth through developing and maintaining necessary procedures, processes, and documentation.  
  • Complete audits of client case files within electronic client management software to ensure all necessary information is up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and standards. 
  • Software utilization:  Qualtrix, PariConnect, Collaborate, OMS.

ELIGIBILITY / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, social sciences, public health, statistics, business administration, management information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution. 
  • Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in applied research, evaluation, social or implementation science, or data analysis. 
  • OR Master’s degree and minimum of two (2) years of experience.  
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in statistics, data analysis, data management, and research methods.  
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in leading complex projects within required timeframes.  
  • Excellent collaborative skills and ability to adeptly communicate across departments. 
  • Must pass Child Protection Registry clearance and criminal background checks.    

  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred experience with grant management. 
  • Preferred experience in knowledge of and contribution to the fields of complex trauma and child abuse.
