Purpose / General Description:
Batch Person executes plant processes and responds urgently to operational issues regarding Plant Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Cross train and drive a mixer truck when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply to all Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements: Perform to, monitor, and enforce compliance with all 5S and Standard Work specifications including directing concrete drivers and loader operators during the production of concrete.
- Maintain Plant Equipment, Facilities and Mixer Trucks: Ensure all areas are clean, organized and well maintained thru daily execution of preventative maintenance processes.
- Manage Inventory Replenishment Processes: Execute inventory replenishment processes to support production requirements. Ensure materials are properly protected from environmental contaminants and storage is free from cross-contamination.
- Monitor and Report Performance of Daily Activities: Inform Plant Manager to system failures and process problems that impact our ability to meet customer requirements.
- Accurately Record and Report Production Data in a Timely Manner: Complete daily recording and reporting activities as defined in work instructions.
- Produce Quality Product During Mixing and Delivery: Ensure compliance with work instructions. Monitor quality in cooperation with CSC Quality Technicians and other quality inspectors.

Minimum Requirements:
- Note: this position will fill-in and operate at multiple Concrete Service Company ready-mix concrete Plants as needed
- Valid driver's license, CDL preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- NCDOT Field & Batch Certified.
- 5 years’ experience in concrete mixing & delivery processes
- Experience with Field Inspection and Concrete Batching Certifications
- Demonstrated ability to execute processes & recommend improvements
- Strong interpersonal skills (communicate well at all levels in the organization)

Employees must possess the ability to perform the essential job functions successfully and safely within the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Employees must maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Employees are required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: executing inventory replenishment processes, record data & data entry. Prolonged periods of standing are an essential part of this position.
Must be able to lift 20-50 pounds at a time.
