Description

Job Summary:

The Territory Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients. The Territory Manager will develop and implement sales strategies, collaborating with other members of the sales team, and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and implements sales strategies to drive revenue growth in a defined geographic territory.
  2. Identifies and pursues new business opportunities within the territory.
  3. Builds and maintains relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  4. Collaborates with other members of the sales team to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  5. Conducts market research and analysis to inform sales strategies and identify potential new opportunities.
  6. Provides regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
  7. Attends industry events and conferences to represent the company and identify new leads.
  8. Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including educators, administrators, and industry partners.
  9. Stays up to date on industry trends and best practices in CTE education.
  10. Manages the sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up on leads and opportunities.
  11. Travels frequently within the defined territory to meet with clients and prospects
  12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  2. 3+ years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in the education industry.
  3. Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in CTE education.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting: Frequent sitting during travel to client locations or while completing administrative tasks.
  • Standing and Walking: Regular standing and walking during client visits, presentations, and trade shows.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of marketing materials or product samples, typically not exceeding 20 pounds.
  • Pushing and Pulling: Infrequent pushing or pulling of items like presentation equipment or demonstration products.
  • Reaching: Occasional reaching for items on shelves or in storage during product demonstrations or inventory checks.
  • Keyboarding: Regular use of a computer or mobile device for communication, reporting, and customer management.
