Position Summary


The Chief of Staff to the CEO serves as a strategic partner to the CEO, Anuj Kapur, acting as a force multiplier to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of the company and the leadership team. The CoS will drive key CEO level projects, operate as an orchestrator, and ensure alignment of our organization’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Operationalize Exec team level operating rhythm  and cadence for execution on our priorities. 
  • Facilitate executive team meetings, including agenda setting, follow-up, and action tracking to bring cohesion and momentum to our operations at the Exec level.
  • Prepare materials for meetings (including Business Ops reviews, Exec staff meetings and Board meetings), conferences, and events.
  • Translate our key strategies into actionable plans, aligning stakeholders and the KPIs across the organization. 
  • Support high-impact, cross-functional projects from conception to completion. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in priority initiatives.
  • Assist with managing the CEO level priorities, ensuring optimal time allocation and preparation for meetings. Represent the CEO’s priorities in meetings and forums as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders including Exec team, SLT, Business Operations, Product operations, Sales Operations, Project management team, FP&A team, and the EA team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Finance or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8-10 years of experience in a leadership, strategy, functional or operational role, preferably in a fast-paced, a mix of large and small company, high-growth and high-velocity environments.
  • Experience working closely with C-suite and/or senior executives is highly desirable.

  • Ability to connect the dots, surface new problems that need to be addressed.
  • Ability to create structure, has data/KPI orientation. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of discretion and ability to build trust
  • Understanding of financials and business levers. Exceptional strategic thinking, influencing and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics in a small company and foster collaboration.
  • Willingness to move to an operational role in Marketing, Product or Sales over the next 18-24 months. 
  • This is a highly dynamic role that may require flexibility in work hours and travel (up to 25%).
  • San Francisco Bay-Area or West Coast preferred. CloudBees is a remote-first company and will consider qualified candidates in all continental US timezones.
