Job Summary: Sales Leadership - Bakery/Deli - This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing sales and relationships, working closely with leadership, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales, particularly in perishables, and a passion for delivering top-notch products and services. Deli experience is a plus. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for the Bakery and Deli departments. 
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales associates, ensuring high performance and professional development. 
  • Monitor sales performance and analyze data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns and initiatives. 
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of product quality and presentation. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address any customer concerns or inquiries promptly. 
  • Work with vendors to create promotional calendars.  
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to keep the Bakery and Deli departments competitive. 
  • Attend key food shows to support vendors. 
  • Create and present PowerPoint presentations.  
  • Recognize key opportunities. 
  • Oversee Business Transitions. 
  • Keep up with vendor updates.

  • Regular use of CRM software for sales tracking and collaboration with the team 


Requirements

 Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in retail sales, with a focus on perishables (Bakery/Deli experience preferred). 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable strategies. 
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling. 
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality products and services. 
  • Established network of contacts (buyers and vendors) in the grocery perishable food sector. 
  • Driver’s License with a good driving record.

90,000 annual plus bonus
