POSITION SUMMARY:
Work within engineering, manufacturing, and other technical departments to develop test plans and effective test methods in support of new product development and continuous improvement. Implement Quality Assurance (QA) and performance testing based on product test plans and verify test effectiveness during the prototype phase. Develop production test approaches compliant with product requirements. Develop, deploy, and maintain final QA and test procedures. Develop QA metrics and implement them in the organization, including reports on status and effectiveness to management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
· Develop and maintain QA processes across engineering groups and contract manufacturers
· Develop metrics to assess QA effectiveness and report progress to stakeholders
· Develop test plans and EOL test fixtures for new projects aligned with QA procedures and coordinate test implementation with contract manufacturers and suppliers
· Develop, implement, and maintain test procedures for electro-mechanical manufacturing process from incoming inspection to EOL functional and QA testing
· Establish standard testing approaches for engineering and production
· Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to electrical and mechanical development teams to implement DFM, DFT, DFA methodologies
CAPABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience with the development of QA processes.
· Experience with test of electro-mechanical systems.
· Working knowledge of test issues across electrical, mechanical, and software areas.
· Experience with functional safety systems is a plus.
· Ability to work both independently and within team projects.
· Ability to work with inside technical teams, outside vendors and design contractors.
· 5+ years’ experience in an equivalent capacity.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
· Working familiarity and experience with LabVIEW and ecosystem of products and tools.
· Working familiarity with Linux and related tools.
· Experience with common interfaces including RS-232, RS-485, CAN, etc.
· Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
· Familiar with ISO standards.
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering.
