JOB PURPOSE

The HealthOne Agency Account Executive is dedicated and results-driven and responsible to oversee and grow relationships and the Agency’s book of business with insurance carrier partners. This position requires an individual with a strong background in insurance operations, strategic account management, and customer service. The Account Executive will act as the primary point of contact for insurance carriers, ensuring service excellence, driving revenue growth, and optimizing the performance of the carrier partnerships. The position works closely with internal Departments ensuring effective communication on processes with enrollments, payments, commissions and other related activities with insurance carriers


Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Manage and nurture relationships with key insurance carrier partners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and achieving mutual business objectives
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance the performance and profitability of insurance carrier accounts, aligning with overall business goals and market trends
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with insurance carriers, fostering trust and open communication to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Ensures data is processed into the appropriate systems 
  • Identify new business prospects, develop and implement sales plans to secure targeted new business volume
  • Actively research and display knowledge of prospects and your competition
  • Monitor accounts to ensure appropriate service is provided consistent with their changing needs and coordinate services to provide the highest possible quality account service
  • Monitor account expirations, ensure timely client notifications, policy renewals and appropriate updating
  • Act as a liaison between the insurance carriers and internal teams to resolve issues promptly, ensuring that carrier concerns are addressed effectively and efficiently
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each account, providing regular performance reports and insights to senior management, and recommending improvements as needed
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, marketing, and operations teams to align efforts and ensure seamless service delivery to carriers
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge
  • Assist with contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions to secure favorable terms for both the company and the insurance carriers
  • Provide carriers with information and training on new products, services, and policies, helping them better understand offerings and promote those to their customers.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Consistently demonstrates compliance with HIPAA regulations, professional conduct, and ethical practice
  • Works to encourage and promote Company culture throughout the organization
  • Other duties as may be assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in insurance account management, carrier relations, or a similar role
  • Active Georgia License in Accident/Sickness/Life Insurance
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, services, underwriting processes, and industry regulations
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Moderate to significant amount of stress in meeting deadlines and dealing with day-to-day responsibilities. Must be able to drive a vehicle and daytime/overnight travel as required.
