Full Time (40 hours/week)
Salary: $50,000 - $65,000
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To assist in the day to day functions of the Accounting Department.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review check request and invoice for proper account coding and supervisor approval.
2. Work with accounts payable staff to resolve any issues.
3. Enter month-end journal entries
4. Oversee monthly Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
5. Prepare/Enter monthly allocation entries.
6. Prepare and assist with any month end closing schedules
7. Assist with reporting daily deposits on various schedules and reconcile with contracted billing agency.
8. Prepare financial reports for department managers as needed.
9. Assist with any grant budgets or the annual agency budgets.
10. Will be assigned specific grants to manage on a on-going basis which may include reconciling, drawing down funds and grant reporting required
11. Assist as required in year end audits.
12. Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA and HRSA regulations, federal and state
requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
13. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Good verbal and written communication skills.
2. Ability to perform work required with minimal supervision.
3. Experience in use of personal computers, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
4. Must be bondable.
5. Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
6. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Accounting preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
