As an Application Engineer, you will be providing winning technical sales presentations, customer support, mentoring services, and on-line content creation. This customer-facing position requires exceptional communications skills and proficiency in identifying product solutions that answer our customer’s challenges. An ideal candidate will have expertise in Creo or Inventor. SOLIDWORKS experience is a plus but not required. SOLIDWORKS will be learned on the job. You will provide support to a wide range of customers from many industries in the use of SOLIDWORKS applications and related solutions. Primary responsibilities include product presentations, instruction, customer service, mentoring services, and creative content creation.

  • Demonstrate Software capabilities to prospects and customers in front of a live audience and/or via web meetings.
  • Support the Sales Team with product knowledge, demonstrations, meeting agendas, strategy, and correspondence.
  • Troubleshoot and provide resolution to customer issues regarding SOLIDWORKS, Installation, and add-on/complementary products such as Simulation and PDM tools.
  • Collaborate with other technical colleagues for knowledge-building and skills-sharing.
  • Research industry trends and competitive technologies
  • Create web-based content (videos/tutorials) showing software features, capabilities, and trends.
  • Obtain and maintain industry certifications (CSWP, CSWE, Elite, and other product-specific exams)
  • Instruct Training Classes for customers (classroom, custom, and/or web-based)
  • Visit Customers at their facility to understand their designs and manufacturing processes.

  • Some SOLIDWORKS background and familiarity
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Office products and related hardware devices
  • Mechanical Engineering degree, or equivalent job experience/credentials

Position Hours & Location: This can be an in-office or hybrid position, with typically office hours of 8-5 M-F. Some light regional travel is possible.
