The Junior Interior Designer will work closely with Strang’s integrated team of professionals to develop designs, plans, and specifications for a variety of exciting project types. Working under the direction of design leads and project managers, you will gain knowledge and experience in all phases of our interdisciplinary design process. This position can be located at one of Strang's regional offices in Wisconsin with hybrid work schedule arrangements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position oversees a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Supports the lead designer in the development of interior design concepts and presentation materials for commercial, higher education, science, and technology projects.
- Develops pre-design graphics, renderings, and material boards for client presentations.
- Creates, updates, and maintains furniture and finish plans and schedules in Revit.
- Assists in the development of construction documents in adherence to the local building and accessibility codes.
- Supports the construction administration team during construction with shop drawing review, site visits, and the development of punch lists.
- Manage interiors library, vendor appointments, and sample requests.

Qualifications:
- Professional Degree in Interior Design or related field
- 3 or more years of related experience
- Familiarity with space planning, finish selection, and furniture specification.
- Desire to pursue professional certifications such as NCIDQ, LEED, and WELL preferred, but not required.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
- Revit knowledge required; have at least two years Revit experience in an academic or professional setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team setting and maintain a keen eye for design and details.
